Is the Leak Defender® sold as a pair?

No. The Leak Defender® is sold as an individual unit as not every truck has dual tanks (e.g. vocational trucks) & not everyone needs/wants to replace both. If you have dual fuel tanks, you will need to order 2.

Is the fuel cap that comes with the Leak Defender® a locking fuel cap?

No. Unfortunately, we don’t offer locking fuel caps right now as the current design of a locking fuel cap would render it subject to leaks which the Leak Defender® was developed to fix, so that just won’t work. 

What we do have, is an anti-siphon we created that works exclusively with the Leak Defender® to help prevent fuel theft. We also have a very creative inventor who is working on a locking fuel cap design that will not leak, so we will eventually have one available.

Will the Leak Defender® work on my model truck?

The Leak Defender® will work on ALL MODELS of International, Kenworth, Mack, Peterbilt, Western Star, and Volvo Trucks. And it will work on all Freightliner models with push-n-twist style caps.

Will the Leak Defender® attach to a fuel neck where the threads are worn/stripped?

Yes. This is why we invented the Leak Defender®! In cases where the threads are completely worn/stripped and a fuel cap will no longer thread on to the fuel neck, you may need to implement a simple 2-step work around,

  1. Use a wire brush to clean your fuel neck threads.
  2. Attach metal tape (preferred) or teflon tape around your fuel neck threads, making sure to work it into the threads to give the Leak Defender® more material to bite onto.
Will the Leak Defender® work on non-vented tanks?

No. The Leak Defender® doesn’t come with a vented fuel cap. Your fuel tank has to breathe & in order to breathe, your tank must have a vent somewhere that will relieve both vacuum and pressure.

Is the Leak Defender® welded on?

No. The Leak Defender® is securely fastened to your fuel filler neck with set screws.

How do I return/exchange my order?

It’s as Easy as 1, 2, 3!

1. Fill out our Contact Us form. Under “What can we help you with?”, select “Returns, Exchanges & Warranty”, enter your order number and under “Message”, tell us if you would like a return or exchange and why you’re returning or exchanging your product(s).

2. Package your product(s). Once we have processed your return/exchange, we will email you an approval email with your return merchandise authorization (RMA) number, a return shipping label and instructions for packing up your product(s).

Please be sure to use the package size and carrier indicated. This is important! If it is not, the carrier will return your shipment back to you. 

3. Drop off your package to the carrier or schedule a FREE pickup.

What is the Leak Defender® made of?

The Leak Defender® is machined from billet aluminum allowing it to be made with a high degree of precision & with the strength to withstand everyday wear & tear.

How do I install the Leak Defender®?

It’s simple! Just twist, tighten with a strap wrench & install set screws. Please see our Installation Videos for specific instructions for your truck.

How long does it take to install the Leak Defender®?

How do I check my order status?

You can track your order once it ships by referencing the shipping confirmation email sent to you. It will include the carrier and the tracking number for your shipment. You can also call us direct at 602.818.5741.

Copy and paste the tracking number into the Google search bar (Bing offers similar functionality), and then click on the carrier’s name that was referenced in your email. Or you can visit the carriers website directly.

For example, if your shipping confirmation email says that the carrier used was USPS, click the “Track via USPS” link.

Can I cancel or modify my order?

Yes, the time window is very small, but we’ll do our best to make any adjustments. Call us immediately at 602.818.5741.

What payment types do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover & PayPal. We also accept PayPal Credit so you can BUY NOW, PAY LATER with 0% interest if paid in full within 6 months. Just select PayPal at checkout. Once logged into your PayPal, under payment options, click Apply Now (if you don’t already have a PayPal Credit account). Otherwise, just select PayPal Credit. You’ll know within seconds if you are approved.

How can I place my order?

Just click “ADD TO CART” on the product page. If you are an approved reseller, please submit your PO via our Purchase Order Form or send an email to [email protected].

Can I use more than 1 credit card for my order?

No. We are currently unable to accept multiple credit cards for a single transaction. 

Do you charge sales tax?

Yes. We are required by law to collect sales tax on all orders by customers residing in the state of Arizona or on orders made at the trucking shows we exhibit at, customers residing in all other states will not have sales tax added to their order.

When is your next sale/promotion?

I have a coupon code. How do I use it?

During checkout, on the “Shopping Cart” page, you will see the “Coupon code” field under the “Proceed to Checkout” button. Enter your code & click “Apply coupon”.

Can I use more than 1 coupon code?

No. Only one coupon code is permitted per transaction. You cannot combine coupon codes with other offers or on sale items.

Why isn't my coupon code working?

The following situations are typically why a coupon code won’t work. If none of these apply to your code, please contact to see if there a technical issue.

1. Coupon codes are set to expire after a certain time, so it might be that you’re using an outdated code.

2. Most of our codes can only be used 1 time. If you have used this code on a previous order, it typically will not work.

3. Our codes can’t be used on sale items. If a product is currently on sale, you can not use a coupon with it.

4. You can’t use more than one coupon code per order. If you already entered a coupon code, entering an additional coupon code will void the previous code entered.

I forgot to use a coupon code during checkout. Can I still get the discount?

No. Unfortunately, once your order has been placed & submitted for payment, we can’t honor your coupon code.

The products I bought recently just went on sale. Can I get the sale price?

No. We do not offer price adjustments. To keep up to date with our product promotions, sign up to our newsletter or follow us on social media.

How much do you charge for shipping?

To view current rates, just add your products to the shopping cart and view the shipping prices within the cart. These fees include insurance on your shipment to protect against loss or damage.

NOTE: Wholesale accounts do not qualify for our flat rate shipping. 

Do you offer expedited shipping?

Yes. Depending on your delivery address and items in your cart. We may offer  2-Day as well as Next Day delivery.

If you would like Overnight Delivery or expedited shipping to Australia or Canada, please contact us prior to submitting your order. Under “What can we help you with?†select “Expedited Shipping†and we will send you an invoice via email.

What shipping carriers do you use?

For the majority of shipments, we use USPS as well as UPS. For large orders or deliveries to rural areas, we may use UPS or FedEx.

Can I change my shipping address after I placed my order?

Yes, the time window is very small, but we’ll do our best to make any adjustments. Simply reply to your order confirmation email and let us know where you would like us to ship your order.

How can I track my shipment?

When will my order arrive?

We generally ship same day when ordered by 2pm (MST), or next day when ordered after 2pm (MST), not including weekends and holidays. FREE no-rush shipments may take an extra day. Orders placed on the weekend or on a holiday, will be shipped the following business day.

Once your package is dropped off to the carrier, FREE no-rush shipments should arrive within 2-5 business days, standard shipments should arrive within 1-3 business days and 2-day shipments should arrive within 1-2 business days. On all Canada orders, standard int. shipments should arrive within 6-10 business days. Exceptions apply and delivery time is not guaranteed.

If you are located in the US and we use Priority Mail® for your shipment, visit the Priority® Mail Delivery Map here and enter our zip code (85204). This map will provide you with expected 1, 2, or 3 day delivery for your area.

My order still isn't here. Where is it?

If you think your package is lost or delayed, please follow the steps outlined here to help us find it.

 

My order arrived late. Can I get a refund on my shipping?

No. We do not guarantee shipping times and refunds for late delivery will not be given so long as we have done our part as promised and dropped your package off on time. Once your package is in the hands of the carrier, it is out of our control as to how it is handled and any delay in transit. 

How long do I have to make a return?

All return authorizations must be requested within 30 days of receiving your shipment.

Returns will not be given if the product(s) has been subjected to misuse, installation error, improper storage, or has been tampered with in any way.

How long do I have to make an exchange?

All exchange authorizations must be requested within 7 days of receiving your shipment.

It is your responsibility to inspect upon receipt all merchandise. If we shipped you the wrong product(s), you ordered the wrong product(s) or your product(s) are damaged due to shipping or manufacturer defect, contact us within 7 days of receiving your shipment for an exchange + FREE RETURN SHIPPING. If you ordered the wrong product(s), you are responsible for the return shipping costs.

Exchanges will not be given if the product(s) is damaged due to ordinary wear and tear, misuse, installation error, improper storage, or has been tampered with in any way.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No, we will provide you with a FREE return shipping label. The only time a customer would need to pay for return shipping costs is if the return/exchange is being made because of an error on the customers part.

What if I don't have a printer to print the return label?

Please ask us to mail you a return label in the message field of our contact form and give us the address to ship it to.

When will I receive my refund?

For the vast majority of returns, it takes about 3-5 business bays for us to get your package, inspect your return, and apply your refund. It may take an additional 2-10 business days after your credit is applied for it to post to your bank, credit card or PayPal account.

How will I know when my return is completed?

Once we process your return, we’ll refund your payment & email you a confirmation. 

How does my return get processed?

Eligible returns will be credited to your original form of payment. We can’t give you a credit on a different credit card or paypal account.

Can you refund a different credit card?

No. We can only issue a refund to the original form of payment you used when you placed your order. If that card expired or has been cancelled, your new card will be credited with the refund. Banks should always reroute the refund on their end.
